5 weeks until Winter Break, Guess What that Means?

It means that it is time to kick things into high gear for many students! Eligibility Check grades were posted this morning, so the students have 5 days to recover a passing grade in order to participate in extra-curricular activities for the remainder of the semester. Please check in on your students to make sure that they are progressing well. Check PowerSchool regularly, ask them how they are progressing, and what they have coming up. Many students still need assistance in balancing out their time to get everything done.

These last weeks of a semester tend to be a source of stress for students, and along with the stress, can come procrastination. This is the time when students should be taking advantage of the long weekend to catch up on a few things (along with stuffing their bellies with delicious food). Managing stress is tough for adults, so for teens, it is particularly harsh. Let your teen know you are there to support, encourage, and push them. They will thank you for it!
