Now, we are rolling...

Hi Parents,

We are 2 weeks into the semester now, and things are really ramping up! Students should be done with introductions and starting on the coursework. There are still a few schedule changes happening, so there are a few coming in and out of courses, but for the most part everyone is where they need to be. Here are the announcements for this week, with a few key reminders for students: Week 3 Announcements.

There are a few key habits that you can help to instill here at the beginning to support your student...
  • keeping track of what assignments are due when
  • checking for feedback from the teacher
  • communicating when questions and frustration arises
  • logging in regularly

The last one, in particular, is vital. If they are not logging in regularly, then they will be spending significant (and wasted) time reorienting themselves each time they do login. Encourage them to stay on top of it! :) Watch PowerSchool for progress, and if you see them slipping, help them catch up.

As always, contact me with any questions at all!
Sincerely, Amanda
