Description: The Online Professional English Network participants and alumni "square" the value of the courses through the formal and informal sharing, or cascading, of the new content with colleagues at their institutions and in their communities. Online professional development opportunities have multiplied during the pandemic, and OPEN Cubed is taking advantage of that fact.
Once the alumni "square" their knowledge, they can then "cube" it by the development of a MOOC for their colleagues. Many OPEN alumni are uniquely positioned to share virtually - or "cube" - the content from their course, and possibly from other OPEN courses, with colleagues. Their familiarity with online professional development and the Canvas platform gives them an edge over colleagues tasked with more traditional face-to-face only professional development support. Missing from their skill set is a more intimate familiarity with the Canvas platform, especially as a course instructor, as well as practice tailoring the course content to suit the needs of a specific audience.
Goals: The Specialist will undertake two key activities in Phase 1 to facilitate the professional development course for OPEN Cubed.

- In the initial stage, emphasis will be on course setup, co-facilitator recruitment, training initiation, and active involvement in recruiting OPEN Cubed participants.
- The second activity involves the Specialist leading the online course for OPEN Cubed participants, with support from co-facilitators. This stage incorporates live events to enhance the learning experience, providing real-time support and fostering a dynamic environment for professional development.
